About Me

"You have the creativity and endurance to make a great historian."

When your college history professor writes a statement like that on a paper you've spent several weeks researching and writing, complete with charts and a bibliography, you can't help but smile. More than 10 years later, I no longer remember her name, but her words of encouragement have stayed with me.

"You would think you did this for a living."

Compliment offered by my public relations professor at Mt. Mary College for my end of semester PR Kit.

"You did an awesome job on those articles."

Brew City Marketing response to SEO roofing articles written for client website.

I love writing and I love doing it well. My specialty is putting information into terms that everyone can understand, even if it's a topic the reader isn't familiar with. My favorite topics are feline health and women's history, but I appreciate the challenge and learning involved in writing about topics like landscaping and local community issues.

My husband and I are Southerners at heart (Wisconsin winters are NOT our favorite thing) and our cats certainly prefer the open windows that summer brings.

Other creative interests include scrapbooking, cooking, and even a little photography. I love reading and traveling and I've driven through most of the states between here and the East Coast, all the way south to Florida.
